WHAT WE DO: COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
• RENT-A-FLOWER PROGRAM commercial or residential provides year-round garden boxes filled with colourful annuals & perennials.
• SEEDS to SAUCE Program for beginner gardeners with hands-on practice from reading seed catalogues, to harvesting seasonal produce.
• PERENNIAL GARDENING flowers, vegetables & berries that you only plant once & enjoy year after year.
• FAMILY GARDENING op- portunities for children & adults to share time together in the garden exploring where foods come from.
• HORTICULTURAL THERAPY for persons with developmental, physical & psychological disabilities or barriers.
• SUMMER GARDEN-SITTING SERVICE
• FOOD & ORNAMENTAL GARDENS: container & conventional gardening, employing sustainable & organic methods.
• HOME & WORM COMPOSTING consultation, workshops & materials.

- We support sustainability & believe we have responsibilities to get our house & garden – our place of living – in order, so that we can support ourselves to the best of our abilities.
- our staff includes a horticultural therapist, permaculture designer, gardeners. Red Door employs & supports persons with disabilities.
- Classes are offered to individuals or groups in beginning gardening, sustainable food production, food preserving, composting & plant protection.

“WE’LL DO THE GARDENING FOR YOU”
In Spring:
- Boxes will be moved out into the community before the daffodils bloom & taken back when the tulips start to lose their colourful petals.
In Summer
- Boxes filled with colourful annuals & perennials & are watered, weeded & fed.
In Fall/ Winter
- Boxes stand duty from October to March with hardy colourful perennials.

BECOME SKILLED AT SUMMER GARDENING
Our “SEEDS-TO-SAUCE” program will walk you through a month-by-month seasonal growing experience for home
Food gardening from A-Z (Planting seed, to Processing your own Organic spaghetti sauce).
For beginner gardeners, with Hands-on practice, including how to read a seed catalog, sowing
seeds, transplanting, watering, Pruning & garden safety, etc. concluding with harvesting, preparing & preserving the
produce in the fall! Classes in groups or individual instruction
